A lovely friend once gave to me,
A most delightful recipe.
Each time I use it I feel I spend,
A precious moment with that friend.

Basic White Sauce

2 Tbsp. Butter
¼ C. Flour
½ tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Pepper
2 C. Milk

Combine butter and flour in saucepan and stir until thickened. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until thickened.
